Paying for Performance

Have you ever paid for a website that didn't make you any money? Have you ever been charged for a lot of hours with no visible product or results? It happens all the time.

As website developers we have been on the other side. We build a good site and it does nothing because the customer is clueless about how to drive traffic to it. We have spent hundreds of hours developing quality software and then loose a bid to someone who hacks a free script.

In other words, the pricing and billing arrangements normally used for online marketing, don't work for anyone.

Performance based marketing positions the work and the incentives where they belong.

You, the customer, describe to us the kind of results you want. Results could be a sale, a new customer for your business, a newsletter signup, etc. We agree in advance how much each of these actions is worth to you.

We then go to work using everything we know about online marketing to drive targeted customers to you. We get paid as agreed for each one. This means we can pick and choose the best methods for driving traffic. If we do paid advertising it is at our expense. If we can refer natural traffic from our existing websites we do.

You never pay anything except the agreed price per action (Sale, signup, etc.)

Why do we call it a " Performance Marketing Laboratory?

Online markeing is very new. No one really knows much about it. The big advertising markets are constantly changing the way they do things. It would be arrogant to claim we know everything there is to know about how to best market online.

We hate to pay for our education with the customers businesses. So, we use several hundred of our own sites to try out marking ideas and techniques. Using what we learn there we feel confident we can structure online advertising campaigns for our customers that are effective and profitable.
